Beavers are 5-7 years old and the youngest Scouting section. The Beaver program focuses on adventure (including camps), developing social skills and working as a team.
The Beaver motto is: Sharing, Sharing, Sharing.

Beaver Scouts learn by doing—and they do lots of fun, exciting things! They love spending time outdoors, going on nature hikes, building simple shelters, enjoying campfires, and even trying camping for the first time. It’s all about exploring and trying new things together.
Helping others is a big part of being a Beaver Scout too. They might clean up a park, or help a friend try something new. Beaver Scouts work as a team, cooperate, and are always ready to lend a hand.
Weekly meetings have specific information about that meeting included, and you will also receive an email when we are outside our usual meeting place. For regular meetings in the winter or inclement weather, please send your Beaver to the meeting with their uniform and a pair of clean, dry shoes with non-marking soles.

A common question from parents when their child comes home from a beaver meeting with badges and crests is, “where do these go”? Badges are typically earned and/or part of the official uniform. The diagram below shows where these should be sewn or ironed onto the Beaver vest. Event crests – for instance from a winter celebration or Beaver Buggy race – are intended for a badge blanket or poncho. Your Section Scouter will provide directions if you aren’t certain!
