Welcome to the 25th Nepean Scout Group Website!
At the 25th Nepean, we believe in creating a fun, safe environment where youth and volunteers can explore new opportunities while developing valuable skills and enjoying memorable experiences.
We are located in Barrhaven and operate our meetings from St.Benedict Elementary School.
Our mission is to help youth grow into confident, capable, and well-rounded individuals, prepared to succeed in all aspects of life.
Programs for Beavers (ages 5–7), Cubs (ages 8–10), Scouts (ages 11–14), and Venturers (ages 14–17) provide exciting opportunities for leadership, adventure, and planning.
Embark on adventures such as exploring, hiking, camping, and paddling, immersing yourself in the beauty of the outdoors throughout the year. Youth also acquire valuable skills in environmental stewardship and the Leave No Trace principles—Scouts take only pictures and leave only footprints.
Through this program, area youth learn to be compassionate and responsible citizens in their community and country. They develop respect for diverse viewpoints, engage in democratic processes, understand the interconnectedness of individuals and nations, and gain insight into their role within Canada and the broader world.
Youth have the opportunity to learn and practice essential leadership skills within their Section, community, and Canada. They explore various leadership styles while discovering the qualities that define a good leader and effective team player.
In this program area, youth embark on adventures that allow them to share and explore their own creative expressions while also appreciating the creative works of others. They delve into various artistic pursuits, including visual arts, music, spoken word, digital arts, and more, all while harnessing their imagination for problem-solving and collaborating effectively as a team.
Youth engage in play and physical activities, fostering enjoyable experiences while cultivating positive mental and physical habits for a happy, healthy lifestyle. They explore health and fitness, make informed choices, learn first aid and emergency preparedness, and prioritize safety—all while enjoying themselves and much more.
Youth will delve into their personal values and beliefs, as well as the rich diversity of cultures and faiths that shape our communities and the world. They will examine the beliefs, values, and attitudes inherent in our society and engage with peers from various cities, provinces, and countries.
